Free solutions to drug rehab do exist. I purchased the e-book in my last post and at first glance, it certainly seems worth the value. I will spend some more time checking out some of the places it recommends and any of the best free drug rehab centers out there I will give more details on. At first glance it appears that most of the free drug rehabs that are not funded by the government are funded by various religious groups.
It appears that they all utilize the 12 steps, which considering they are free or extremely low cost would be obvious. It then would also be obvious that in most cases a ready made definition of what the "Higher Power" is come in already prebuilt. The exchange here is fairly simple. They are willing to give a free drug rehab program in return for the client trying out a portion of their religious lifestyle in hopes of someone stopping the use of drugs and alcohol, as well as maybe a new convert to their religion. Compared to a life wondering where you next drink of hit is coming from, these free drug rehabs are a pretty good deal.
The other source of free drug rehab is the state or federal government sponsored programs. Again here it is not totally free. It looks like a case of maybe the people who make the most noise get the most attention. It looks like you have to become somewhat of a self advocate and press to find the resouces available. So it is not entirely free drug treatment. You almost have to work at advocating your case to be one of those who get free drug rehab.
So I guess the most obvious answer is that free drug rehab is not entirely free and not entirely without some work to find it as well as a few strings attached to it. However, this free drug treatment is still wonderful and available if you look.
