Family Support in Drug Rehab…. Keeping them There(via Worldwide Drug Addiction News)

The longer you stay in a drug rehab, the better the success rate. If you have helped to get someone in drug rehab either through time, money or both, you have a vested interest in trying to keep the client as long as they need.  If you have been involved, there will likely come a time where you are conversing with the client and they wil likely bring up the subject of leaving early. If you know it is coming, you can spend a little time to prepare how you might answer, when you are asked.  Think of all the things and reasons why it makes sense to stay.   Be prepared for "I am ready", or "I'm not learning anything new".

Reasons to stay include keeping you word to yourself and those around you. Time to practise and go from just doing it, and doing it very well.  Nobody can predict if you are really ready, so why not stay until the time we agreed upon?  Spend some time and think through what specifically are the reasons for your loved one to stay and complete the whole course of time in drug rehab.  This time will be well spent when the subject comes up somewhere down the road.
