Information For Parents and Families about Drug Rehab(via Worldwide Drug Addiction News)

Drug rehab centers can be a vital link in a process of change of one set of core behaviors with another more usefel and productive set of core behaviors.  Most times once behavior has deteriorated into a very disruptive addiction and the time someone actually seeks out treatment can be month or more likely years.  During this time parents, families and friends are put through a lot.  It is hard, difficult and painful to love someone with an addiction.

How do you protect yourself and your own mental state, while there is someone with a severe addictive pattern in you life and family?  Do you have to wait until someone hits rock bottom in order for them to consider drug rehab?  Are they ways to get people to accept drug rehab that are easier and more productive than a classic intervention?  What can you do if someone absolutely refuses any treatment?  Do you have to remove them from your life for a period if they do not accept their behavior, and do not accept the offer of help in drug rehab?  And once more, how do you preserve your health and your relationship with your spouse while going through all of this with one of your children?

That is a very tough list of questions, but ones the many peole today want and need answers for.  It is because of these questions that we are writing our second book in our Rehab is 4 Quitters series, specifically for Parents and Family.  It will be a guide and workbook for those who co-exist with a family member who is dealing with addiction.  Kind of a rehab at home for family members so to speak.  Look for it as well as our workbook for Relapse Prevention here very Soon
