Assume the Best, take a Chance on looking Stupid in Drug Rehab(via Worldwide Drug Addiction News)

When people call, it is sad that we have all become so cynical.  We live in fear of getting ripped off.  We live in fear someone is not telling us the truth.  I know there are times when the world is a bad place.  I know there are dishonest people.  I know there are drug rehab centers that need to improve what they offer.  But what is the real % of the time, this is the case?  It is certainly in the minority.  Many times it is a small fraction of the world you live in.  We let 10% of the instances affect 100% of our responses.

Once you have chosen a drug rehab, why not while you are there, assume the best.  If you start to practice assuming the best about people while you are in a drug rehab program, you are in a safe place.  Nothing bad can really happen.  So why not work on changing the primary question you evalute people with while you are in a rehab.  Instead of, what do they want from me, or can I trust them, how about What do I like about this person?  What can I do to help this person?

If you can change the way YOU look at people, you just might change the way people look at you.  If you can change the way people look at evaluate you, your future will be different, and it will be a lot more pleasant along the way.
